About
An infrastructure contractor built to work across Florida.
Max Technology, LLC is an IT field services company operating in two Florida markets, with more than twenty years of hands-on infrastructure experience behind the work.
How the firm is structured
The firm runs two regional operations. The Gulf Coast operation is based in the Tampa Bay area, covering Manatee, Sarasota, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties. The South Florida operation is led by Max Karey out of Miami, covering Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and the Florida Keys, with its own field teams.
That structure is deliberate. A contractor dispatching across the state from one office prices travel into every job and schedules around drive time. Running crews in both markets means the properties we serve get local response in either one — and a management company with sites on both coasts gets a single vendor rather than two.
How we work
Work is performed by our own field teams to a defined standard rather than brokered out to whoever a platform assigns that week. Every job is scoped and priced in writing before it starts, and documented at handover. That combination is unremarkable in principle and surprisingly rare in practice, and it's most of why properties keep us on after the first job.
The name
You may know us as MaxHelp — our email and website use maxhelp.net, and that isn't changing. The company's legal name is Max Technology, LLC, a Florida limited liability company, and that's the name on contracts and invoices.
The founder
Doug Karey founded Max Technology in 2004. He came to it after more than a decade in corporate IT in Chicago — systems and network leadership inside an insurance industry technology subsidiary, and a term as IT director for a national medical diagnostics firm, where he rebuilt a single-server operation into a full multi-site Windows environment and built the department to run it.
He has spent the two decades since in the field. That background is why scopes here get written by someone who has both designed the system and pulled the cable, and why the firm is comfortable sitting on either side of a project — as the contractor of record, or as the on-site partner to a national integrator.

How we talk about our work
No claims we can't stand behind.
You won't find client logos we don't have permission to use, star ratings we invented, or testimonials from people who don't exist on this site. A meaningful share of this industry runs on exactly that, and we'd rather be the ones who don't.
What we will tell you: we've spent years delivering networking, structured cabling, audio/visual, surveillance, access control and device deployment work for national retail, restaurant, financial services and technology clients as a contracted field vendor. The same standards apply whether the work comes through a national program or directly from a property.
Tell us what the property needs.
Describe the site and the scope. You'll get a straight assessment of whether we're the right contractor for it, and a written scope and price before any work begins.
